Breaking News: Bible Supports Darwinian Evolution!!!

"In the last ten years we have come to realize humans are more like worms than we ever imagined."

-- Biologist Bruce Alberts, past president of the National Academy of Sciences; editor in chief of Science. Author of The Molecular Biology of the Cell, a standard cell biology university textbook.

Ball Bounces Bible study-of-the-Day™:

"Deuteronomy 28:39: You will plant vineyards and cultivate them but you will not drink the wine or gather the grapes, because worms will eat them."

Oh, my gosh! Humans eat grapes -- and so do worms!!!! We are like worms!!!

"Job 17:14 if I say to corruption, 'You are my father,' and to the worm, 'My mother' or 'My sister,'

Headline: Major Biblical Figure Acknowledges Darwin's Theory: Claims Worm For Ancestor!!!

Job 25:6 "how much less man, who is but a maggot— a son of man, who is only a worm!"

"Only a worm" -- what could be better than that as proof of darwinism? This fits the reductionist view of darwinian philosophy perfectly . But, Job, quibble-time: Which is it -- maggot or worm -- the Bible is so full of contradictions!!!

mre...

Psalm 22:6 "But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by men and despised by the people."

Psalm 22 is a messianic psalm -- strongly connected with Christ and his passion.

According to this psalm, the proper understanding of human beings is to not even think of ourselves as beings created in the image of God, capable of rational thought, creativity, moral choice, and as potential vessels for the Spirit of the living God -- the correct view is to think of ourselves as lowly worms.

Oh, my gosh, the darwinists have been right all along!!!

And now, stepping out on a darwinian tree-of-life limb, the first Ball Bounces Future-Quote™, circa 2050: ""In the last ten years we have come to realize humans are more like dirt than we ever imagined." -- Richard K. Ball.

Future-Quote Scripture support:

"the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being."

Pay-dirt!

And that's the way the worm-like Ball bounces.

George Wald - who won the Nobel Peace Prize for Science made this revealing statement.
"When it comes to the origin of life, we have only two possibilities as to how life arose. One is spontaneous generation arising to evolution; the other is a supernatural creative act of God. There is no third possibility...Spontaneous generation was scientifically disproved one hundred years ago by Louis Pasteur, Spellanzani, Reddy and others. That leads us scientifically to only one possible conclusion -- that life arose as a supernatural creative act of God...I will not accept that philosophically because I do not want to believe in God. Therefore, I choose to believe in that which I know is scientifically impossible, spontaneous generation arising to evolution." - Scientific American, August, 1954.
And now all the evolutionists will cry foul, that the origin of life has nothing to do with evolution. Well - that little worm had to get started up the evoluion ladder somehow.

There is no "Nobel ~peace~ prize" for "science".

There are scientific Nobel prizes though. Chemistry, physics, medicine, etc...

Other than that I think it's cute that evolution deniers prattle on while the real world continues to make gains using ACTUAL evolutionary theory. The medicine
you enjoy? Not possible if evolution isn't true. Just about everything from satellites, GPS, rockets, medicine, etc. work BECAUSE the theory of evolution is true. The computer you're using currently - thanks in a large part to the science you deny.

It's quaint when you rail against the very thing you use everyday. It doesn't make you look very smart though - but I'm sure you don't care.

Joe, at last, I think, you get it. We are incredibly stupid, plus, we don't care!

You've got it!

WRONG - But Not Stupid -- I'll take it! This might be the new motto of the Ball Bounces!

Ball: "This might be the new motto of the Ball Bounces!"

I expect royalty cheques.... ;)

Regarding the first comment, it would seem that Wald didn't make that statement. See here.

"... nothing intellectually compelling or challenging.. bald assertions coupled to superstition... woefully pathetic"
