Kristen Bartkiw - Canadian Criminal "Crack" er Mom

Canadian criminal "Crack" er Mom Kristen Bartkiw was fined for failing to provide crackers in her kids' lunch (or something close to this).

Here's a shot of her emaciated brood --

It's a good thing Canadian authorities are on top of what Moms feed their kids. Maybe next they'll tackle ensuring kids are born and raised within a stable relationship between mother and father -- "the institution formerly known as marriage". That's far more important to a kid's welfare than whether his or her lunch includes a cracker.

I'll admit that this does sound silly.

I hope that the school doesn't have the ability/authority to enforce the fine.

We read about this sort of thing more and more. Vancouver has banned doorknobs.

Hm. It might be the case that MORE things were banned in the past than in the present. (Or perhaps I should say that perhaps it's the case that more things were banned in the past without good reason… Lead wasn't controlled in the past as it is now… but I'm sure you'd agree that it's good that we've limited our lead exposure… right?).

I think more books were banned in the past, for example. (Being raised Catholic, I do recall being told about "The Index"…)
