US Navy SEALS (motto: "pain is weakness leaving your body") get about $55,000 a year* . To become a SEAL, you have to survive gruelling, gruelling tests that amount to near-death experiences. The new NDP MPs (motto: "no pain, all gain") get around $165,000 to start, plus perqs. To become an NDP MP you have to be able to get to Vegas and back via commercial airlines and live to not tell about it.

Would it be unkind to suggest something is wrong here?
