My Sex: I've Got A Secret

Parents raise offspring as a no-gender/pick-your-own-gender/do your own thing/I gotta be me/ kid.

Because sex, or "gender" is just a socially constructed role, right?

Wrong. "In the beginning God created man... male and female created he them". Kind of a basic, kindergarten building-block starting-point for true knowledge about the human species. Who ever thought we would need revelation to figure this out?!

Goin' out on a limb. I'm guessing the parents a) didn't vote Conservative, and b) are new age if they have religious leanings.

I do annual volunteer teaching in Africa. More and more as I tell them tales from the sophisticated, advanced West, they stare back at me in expressions ranging from bewildered amazement to amazed bewilderment. And we are teaching them?

I wish these kids happy lives. May God look down on them and bless them, and not "visit the sins of their parents" on them.

And the beat goes on.

The Muslim Brotherhood: Just Friends Whose Grievances We Haven't Yet Accommodated

Yesterday I criticized the Globe and Mail's accommodationist article by Doug Saunders on the Muslim Brotherhood. In his article, Mr. Saunders wrote,

"When these popular movements are repressed, as Egypt has done brutally for six decades, the frustrated adherents have switched to non-political, violent means: All jihadist movements, including al-Qaeda, were born as responses to this frustration. You can draw a direct line between the crushing of the Brotherhood and the attacks of 9/11.

This sounds like what Mark Steyn meant when he said: "From grade school up we’re taught that there are no enemies, just friends whose grievances we haven’t yet accommodated."

Fits Saunders' world to a tee.

Saunders also talks about a switch from political to violent means as if these are mutually exclusive categories. He blames the rise in Al-Qaeda violence on the suppression of the Muslim Brotherhood. What he fails to acknowledge is that the Muslim Brotherhood itself is a political movement rooted in violence. This from Michael Youssef:

Shortly after the founding of the Muslim Brotherhood, they developed a “secret apparatus” which became involved in assassinations and terrorism. This group was responsible for the assassinations of prominent politicians and Coptic Christians whom they saw as hindrances to achieving their Islamic state. For example, in December of 1948, the Muslim Brotherhood’s secret apparatus assassinated Egyptian Prime Minister, Mahmud Al Noqrashi Pasha, whom they saw as a British puppet. In October 1954, their attempt to assassinate President Nasser proved to be their undoing. He rounded them up, put some to death and others were sent to hard-labor prisons. The imprisoned Brotherhood members remained there until Nasser died in 1971 and his successor, President Anwar Sadat released them.

Friends, the facts of life are conservative. And leftist views are not just naive, they are dangerous. On this, the 100th birthday of the man who stared down the evil empire while facing leftist ridicule and derision, we should remember that our way of life is hanging in the balance.

Imagine There's No Children

Michelle Malkin has an article about the green-left's obsession with children. Those who haven't been conceived or born they want to eliminate. Those who make it through the abortion sieve, they want to indoctrinate.

You've probably heard/seen 10-10's awesomely bad environmental video that shows denier children being blown to smithereens. 10-10 thought it was great fun. Kids blow up!

Malkin covers some other ghoulish-green transgressions:

The Discovery Channel website Treehugger.com gave its "coolest environmental ad" award last year to a lobbying group that depicted the "human impact" of "climate change" with an illustration of a dead schoolgirl hanging from a noose with a melting glacier at her feet.

A dead schoolgirl hanging from a noose is "cool". I haven't fact-checked this, but is this even possible? What is it with the the atheist left's obsession with images of death?

And then there's this guy Harrison Brown who referred to all the children of the world as a "pulsating mass of maggots."

As opposed to this:

Jesus loves the little children
All the children of the world
Red and yellow black and white
They are precious in his sight
Jesus loves the little children of the world

Jesus loves the little children-maggots of the world. Hmmmm. It seems to me that what the greens and the leftists and the atheists, what the whole world needs now is...

Love, sweet love
It's the only thing that there's just too little of.

Otherwise, we are left with a barren landscape of man-the-animal, stripped of real humanity, killing his children while hoping right-to-die rights are passed by the courts in order to skip the inconvenience of the legislative process.

I suspect that the green leftists probably love John Lennon's Imagine, that great song of emancipation from Christian religious belief and the love of God so beautifully offered in the sacrifice of his Son. Here's an update:

Imagine there's no children

"B" For Bonkers: US Federal Government Allows Foreign Nations To Join Its Suit Against Arizona

To the extent that leftists love the UN and its offspring such as the International Court, they hate the idea of US national sovereignty.  Makes them nervous.

Which perhaps explains this:

In a new twist in the fight over Arizona’s immigration law, Republican Gov. Jan Brewer on Tuesday asked a federal court to disallow foreign governments from joining the U.S. Department of Justice lawsuit to overturn the law. 

The move comes in response to a 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling issued Monday, allowing nearly a dozen Latin American countries — Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Nicaragua,    Paraguay, Peru and Chile — to submit friend-of-the-court briefs in Justice’s challenge to SB 1070, which Brewer signed into law in April and is considered one of the nation’s toughest immigration-enforcement measures. 

I guess Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru and Chile all feel they have a special interest in propping up and defending illegal immigration to the US.

“As do many citizens, I find it incredibly offensive that these foreign governments are using our court system to meddle in a domestic legal dispute and to oppose the rule of law,” the Republican governor said in a statement shortly after the state’s motion was filed Tuesday evening. 

As do I, a part-time resident of Arizona.
