Obama's VA "Distraction"

Barack Obama: An American Portrait

According to President Obama, VA Secretary Shinseki is not just a very good, accomplished man and outstanding soldier, he has "done exemplary work on our behalf.”

Obama accepted his resignation only because he has become a "distraction".

Really?

Obama believes Shinseki has done not just decent work but exemplary work, but lets him go because he's become a "distraction"? When the leader of the free world can't even handle a distraction you know the office has been greatly diminished.

Unless of course this is just empty rhetoric.

And that's the way the Ball bounces.

Climate Change QOTD: Nigel Lawson

[A]t bottom this is not a scientific issue. That is to say, the issue is not climate change but climate change alarmism, and the hugely damaging policies that are advocated, and in some cases put in place, in its name. And alarmism is a feature not of the physical world, which is what climate scientists study, but of human behaviour; the province, in other words, of economists, historians, sociologists, psychologists and — dare I say it — politicians. -- Nigel Lawson
Who is this denier Nigel Lawson, and why hasn't he been stopped??

Global Warming Strong Armalarmism

MATT RIDLEY: THE COERCED CONSENSUS

A list of strong-arm tactics. I guess climate science is a bit like a dirty kitchen in a high-end restaurant: you really don't want to know what goes into the cooking of "the science".

See how Matt Ridley shows up in the links below. As the worlds' #1 believer in global warming alarmism, I can only say: who is this Matt Ridley and why hasn't he been stopped?

And that's the way the warmist Ball bounces.

Great Moments in Climate Change: Caspar and the Jesus Paper, August 11, 2008

More hockey stick schenanigans.

Excerpt:
With the replication of the hockey stick in tatters, reasonable people might have expected some sort of pause in the political momentum. Seasoned observers of the climate scene, however, will be unsurprised to hear that global warming eminences grises like Sir John Houghton and Michael Mann continued to cite the Wahl and Amman papers despite the CC paper being in publishing limbo and the GRL paper being apparently dead and buried. The Wahl and Amman press release was not withdrawn either.
Events soon took another surprising turn….
Fascinating reading from the author of the Hockey Stick Illusion.
