The Darwinian Ideological Juggernaut Marches on...

Speaking of juggernauts...

This time it's the Darwinians - "How the Scientific Consensus Is Maintained -- and How It Can Be Challenged".

What is common to both the Gay and Darwinian Juggernauts is their intense, politicized intolerance of dissent, however reasonable and rational.

The theory of evolution can be challenged like all true scientific theories, if any of its assumptions can be demonstrated to be false, then the theory needs to be re evaluated and modified. Real science has looked at the theory of evolution, and to date the basci assumptions have held up to experimental and observational evidence very well indeed in open scientific examination,

The psudo-scientific use of "consensus" (like in the so called Global Warming debate), or the distortion, manipulation or even hiding of data are not scientific at all, and people who do that should be properly called out.

Homosexuals are being used as political pawns by leftist's to destroy the family unit and religion.
The leftist goal being to replace both of these bedrocks of civilization with the all powerful state.

Thucydides if only your assertion were true. The theory of evolution has not been truly or thoroughly put to the test. At best it is a sketchy cover story for some disparate findings that in truth can be interpreted any way you choose. At worst it is the genesis story of atheistic scientism that has gone out of its way to pound square pegs into round holes just to complete the puzzle. There is nothing in the proof of the theory of evolution that couldn't be as justifiably interpreted as proof of Creation.

Joe -- thanks for weighing in. I agree with you.

From what I read, the theory of evolution is always so elastic that the scientific method goes something like this: a) observe; b) interpret whatever you observe as attributable to infinitely elastic evolutionary process. Cambrian explosion? Evolution sped up! Stasis? Evolution slowed down! Consciousness from dust and water: Just add time and stir!

Thanks, Joe.

I can't seem to make the link you provided work. Is that a problem with the link, or with my computer?

(It could easily be my computer or my connection... both are old).

Also... I've said before and I'll say again that the evidence for evolution is overwhelming.

One of the sources I rely on that has led me to that conclusion is Dawkins's book "The Greatest Show on Earth". It's the only Dawkins book I've read. (I consider him an expert on evolution... not on God).

But I digress.

Is there a single book that has convinced you (or rather, is there a single book that could convince me) that evolution is false?

If so... let me know. I'll read it (if you read "The Greatest Show on Earth").

This could be fun...

Anon1152 -- I fixed the link, I think.

I'll get back to you soon about your "offer". -- rkb

Link is working for me. I'll take a look at it. (Though that might have to wait until tomorrow).

I just checked American Airlines frequent flier ticket Toronto - Johannesburg. The cost of the free ticket? $716 bucks. Cost of a "real" ticket? About $1116. 75,000 points gets you $400 bucks worth of travel?!

Hi Anon1152: I like the sound of your offer. I've read reviews of Dawkin's book, but not the actual book. But, I would have to figure out which book to ask you to read -- I come to this through the back-door, which I'll explain later.

Right now, I'm writing my doctoral thesis, so I'm totally pre-occupied. Can we wait a bit until the dust settles and try to get something going by Christmas?

OK. It's a deal.

I envy you. I should be writing my doctoral thesis at the moment. Unfortunately, I need to take some time off to work. (The student loans have caught up with me).
