Why Are Occupiers Coddled By Police And Pols?

"In San Francisco, when the mob smashed the plate-glass window of a small business shop, the owner put up some plywood to replace the glass, and the mob wrote graffiti on his plywood. The consequences? None for the mob, but a citation for the shop owner for not removing the graffiti."

I hope this isn't true.

But, it sounds about right.

The Occupiers must be excused and coddled; remind me again, why is this? Because they are "protesters" protesting something? Is that why they have the presumptive right to engage in unlawful actions that would result in swift retributive action if any of the rest of us engaged in them? Is that why they are excused and coddled by police and pols alike? Or is it because the pols want the youth vote and assume that youth are essentially lawless in outlook and behavior?

The liberal West: straining at gnats and swallowing camels.

I hope it's not true too. But it may be. Perhaps we should email Sowell and ask him if he could point us to a news report or two on the graffiti story he mentions...

He does mention protesters being petter sprayed though. That's not coddling...
