All cultures are equal -- it's one of the bedrock delusions assumptions that form the foundation of The New Canada™ and its glorious embrace of multiculturalism.

So, Why is there no looting in Japan?

For more on this perplexing issue, see Mark Steyn's letters. (Letter-writers to Mark's Mailbox are often better than columnists!)

For the same reason you don't see any Japanese homeless people or Philipino panhandlers.

Some people actually think that certain behaviors are beneath them.

What culture are you claiming is inferior?

Cultures, and sub-cultures whose response to a natural disaster is to loot rather than engage in disciplined, constructive actions.

See the Mark Steyn letters for some cogent examples and comments.

Or, alternatively, cultures that celebrate the murder of a sleeping family and decapitation of its baby by passing out sweets.
