Uh, nope.
Intelligent design proponents are so "open minded" their brains have fallen out. You don't do science by wishful thinking, you do it by trying to reconcile theory with evidence as closely and efficiently as possible. The evidence that evolutionary biology is the product of non-random selection of randomly generated mutations is abundant; the evidence that God intervenes - while also conveniently near-impossible to demonstrate - is utter lacking and (more importantly) unnecessary.
Intelligent designers do the conservative movement no favours, they only serve to re-enforce liberal haughtiness when it comes to matters intellectual.
