Pardon me while I throw up...

It appears that Canada's mass abortionist Henry Mortgentaler is going to receive the Order of Canada. This is a sickening moment for Canada.

It is one thing for an individual to pursue a lawless and wicked course. It is quite another for the leaders and authorities of this country to publicly laud such an individual. It makes all Canadians complicit in the evil actions of one. It is as if Canada's leaders are hellbent in trying to bring this nation under God's wrath.

Meanwhile, I continue to believe and uphold the foundational promise of this country: "He (the Messiah, i.e., Jesus) shall have DOMINION from sea to sea". A glimmer of hope in the midst of bad news!

It may be getting bad and dark and grim for Christians in Canada now, but it's going to get much badder and darker and grimmer for those who would destroy this country's Christian heritage and hand it over to the devil. He (Christ) shall come in power and great glory, and the very brightness of his coming will destroy the wicked.

"" and Jesus wept" This is not a defining moment for us as Canadians rather it is a lefty_liberano moment erecting a monument to evil on a pile of butchered innocents in the name of "progress" It reminds me we still have far to go, we need a conservative majority to push these left_tards out of the offices and committees where they push their smarmy little agendas forward.

anon2: you seem to have a highly developed moral sense. Yet, without God, a moral sense is nonsensical -- there is no right or wrong, better or worse, just cosmic indifference. As Christians, we believe that God has revealed himself in Jesus Christ, and offers salvation in his name. I hope you will consider this.

I believe in God, Mr. Ball. And I know God is not pleased when so-called Christians indulge in sophistry and dishonesty.

This...

Yet, without God, a moral sense is nonsensical -- there is no right or wrong, better or worse, just cosmic indifference.

...is simply not true. It is your weak faith that forces you to believe this, and causes you to desperately cling to formulaic expressions that pass as faith because you fear losing that faith. And instead of facing that full on, you seek to demonize the rest of humanity.

It is a perversion of Christianity and a capitulation.

Salvation comes through faith and good works and you substract from that equation every time you permit a distortion of reality to go unchallenged, or when you distort it yourself.

I've refered to this cheap piece of eye-candy -to flash to friends- as the "ODOR" of canada.

Trudeau started this charade to reward people that agreed with him , don't be surprized at this medal being awarded to the Living
rather than the usual method for Real medals given after your Life's Work that is on record .

The OOC Medal forces people to tow-the-line after they get it because if they change their views on life they risk having trudeau take it away .
The CRTC already controls what you can say in order to protect the feelings of Minorities , the OHRC can inflict Financial Terrorism to bankrupt a person noy following the State Doctrine , and an Ontario Judge Over-ruled our Child-Abuse and Pedophilia Laws so Males can march Naked in a Parade and flaunt their penis in front of little boys or Girls.

Remember that it was a group of Judges that allowed Slavery , and another group that got rid of it .
What happens in the future if the next generation has the power to stop free access to Abortion , and what if the reason is because Science finally decoded the DNA chain and Females choose to abort Gay and Lesbian babies or bi-sexual babies .

Eugenics started with the mentally ill who were easy to kill because most people devalued them as a burden , then the poor were next for the Adoption laws to hide the Bad-Seed from the new parents , then came the Pro-Abortionist that was a wealthy/white/liberal/female who
linked Crime to poverty and fought for sterilizing the potentially Mentally ill or forces abortion on the poor to stop criminals from being born.

Yes folks , I talking about Canada not the Nazi Germany you expected me to be citing.
Ironically , in 2005 Mr. Morgentaler stated in public that Canada's crime-rate is lower because he help the poor stop criminal from being born , he even had the nerve to cite how he has aided many Black females who would be stuck in poverty with criminals for children that would cost Society vast amounts of money that could go to other Social benefits.

Wasn't this the same excuse Hitler used to push his 3rd Reich that would take over the World and use Darwin's examples of genetic perfection by purging society of all the weak and lazy that are a burder .
If only Morgentaler had took an interest in Abortion while under the Nazis , he could have made millions for the State by converting the Camps to Abortion clinics so Germany could Breed-Out the deadwood and stop female jews from continuing the bloodline while the men could only Marry a non-jewish female .
Heck....he would have got the Iron-Cross from Heir Goebel personally and the War would have never started by the 1939 Invasion of Poland , plus Japan could have kept slaughtering Asians and stole more land from China , then America would have had the Camp to House japanese because Pearl Harbous didn't need to be bombed and Hitler would have join the declaration of War around December 12th 1941 .

See folks , Henry has done us a favour so we done become a Germany where we terminate the lives of the innocent and then try to wipe out poverty by preventing a Social burden from happening .
Lets have the U.N. give him an award since the Jew-hating Arab nations would love to hold him up as a success story for genocide to wipe out the porr and stupid.

In Germany, girls weren't given the choice. And that is a huge difference.
And it isn't only poor girls who choose abortion.

And Darwin didn't say anything about perfection. This shows your ignorance about evolution.

The idea of blue blood came around a long long time ago. The Egyptians who it could be argued were the first culture to have marriage, made extra effort to have royal blood stay royal.

They pushed fathers marrying daughters, and brothers marrying sisters.

Come to think of it, when someone mentions traditional marriage, that is what I think of.

There you go, Mr. Ball. The psychotic @ 7:15 is representative of the Christianinty you are promoting.

I hope you're happy.

RE: "without God, a moral sense is nonsensical"

Pathetic creationist nonsense!! Perhaps such a 'godless' morality is a far better reflection of an individual being inherently moral .... and not the pseudo-morality exhibited by some christians who are moral only because of fears of divine retribution or because a book tells them to be moral?

Also, I always find it appalling at how some writer's attempt to hijack the population as having one and the same opinion as the author's personal view. Such attempts to solicit credibility undermines the entire post as having little or no substance on its own.

Then again...one with rational thought is not your intended audience is it?

(Sorry, and I won't beat around the bush here, but that is the way the ball bounces.)

RE: Anonymous @ 7:15

Your screed is indeed a serious misrepresentation, misinterpretation and blatent distortion of any known historical facts. Some of your statements are familiar to me in creationist propaganda, however, some of your absurd statements are foreign to me (at least in the way you present them). I would be curious to see how you can substantiate one such statement, in particular:
"Darwin's examples of genetic perfection"

I'm just back from a wonderful lobster supper here on PEI, so please excuse the delay in responding.

"Pathetic creationist nonsense!!"

Not so. I don't think you have thought very deeply about the implications of atheism. If we are uncreated, then we are undesigned, and have no purpose for being here. Indeed, life itself has no reason for existing. In a godless, purely materialistic universe, smashing a rock, or smashing a pumpkin, or smashing in a baby's head makes absolutely no difference. There can be no morality except that which exists in peoples' heads. And that, as you or others admit, is nothing more than a cruel trick of mindless evolution.

Of course human beings have an innate moral sense. God put it there. In an uncreated, purely materialistic world immaterial concepts such as right and wrong, honor, justice, and love cannot really exist. They can be nothing more than deceiving chemical drips in our uncreated, undesigned brains. And, since our brains are undesigned, even if these immaterial notions are persistent, there is no reason to put any trust in them at all.

In fact, the first thing a rational person would do would be to free oneself from them, once one discovered their irrational origins in mindless evolution.

Which brings us to yet another problem for the atheist. There is no reason why rational, immaterial thought should exist in an uncreated, undesigned world, and, if it does, why rational thought from brains made from junkyard evolutionary parts should have any reliability whatsoever.

Think deeply about the implications of atheism and you will find that the only answer that makes sense of all the facts of human existence is that there is an intelligent, powerful being that stands behind the created universe.

Thanks for commenting.

Sterilize the Arabs? Maybe the Palestinians.

The implications of atheism? Who cares? If gravity was against God it still wouldn't mean that gravity wasn't real.

As far as morality goes, there is no evidence for God, but there is evidence that morality exists not only in humans but almost every social animal. We evolved it.

God is not needed in the equation.

And what is the purpose of life with a God? Why does a perfect being need to create us? What is the purpose of living for eternity?

Bottom line, we make our own purpose. You just choose to make your purpose being God's child.

beag - "The implications of atheism? Who cares? If gravity was against God it still wouldn't mean that gravity wasn't real."

You are arguing in the wrong direction. The point is, if there is no God, then nothing can be against God, and nothing can, ultimately, matter in any kind of ultimate sense. Plowing through a marketplace filled with people can be no greater an offense than taking in a haul of fish, or, cutting the grass, or smashing a big rock into little pieces for that matter -- it's all just atoms, and they themselves are undesigned and uncreated. Life was unplanned, unintended and has no purpose, if there is no God who created us.

"As far as morality goes, there is no evidence for God, but there is evidence that morality exists not only in humans but almost every social animal. We evolved it."

It is an untrue statement to say there is no evidence for God. The evidence is abundant. Perhaps you meant the word "proof". Even that could be argued.

"We evolved it". We did? OK, let's say we evolved ourselves (aren't we clever!). But, since we are ourselves unplanned and undesigned the fact that we evolved morality is of no more consequence than the fact that we evolved fingernails. Killing another human being is of no more ultimate consequence than cutting our fingernails. Life is unplanned, unintended and of no more value than non-life. In a godless scenario, man's indwelling and persistent moral sense is a fluke of nature not to be taken seriously -- certainly not to be "obeyed". In a purely materialistic universe, immaterial things such as morality, logic, love, rational immaterial thought, consciousness etc. cannot objectively exist, and even this discussion we are having strains the boundaries of purely materialistic uncreated world.

"God is not needed in the equation."

My argument is that He is needed, for life to make sense, and it is easier to believe He exists than to postulate that life sprang from non-life, that something as exquisite as morality, or love, or the longings of a human heart, sprang purely from immaterial substances such as carbon, water, etc.

And what is the purpose of life with a God? Why does a perfect being need to create us? What is the purpose of living for eternity?

You are now asking some very intelligent questions, my friend. Try reading the gospel of John, if you have not already done so.

"Bottom line, we make our own purpose. You just choose to make your purpose being God's child."

On the contrary, I did not choose Him -- He chose me. And for that I will be grateful, for all eternity.

Thanks for commenting.

rkball, no there is no evidence that God has ever existed, and no need for him or her to exist.

Again, his existence still gives no meaning to life, except what you make of it.

As beings we are driven to make it to procreation, and keep our species going. It isn't a matter of being clever. But with social animals including or ancestors, those who lived by the social contract had a higher probability of surviving to the age where they could procreate, and they also had a bigger chance that the other animals in their community would look after them.
If our ancestors didn't live by the social contract we would not be here.

As for meaning. I could easily say that the meaning of life is to try to make sure our species keeps going. It makes a lot more sense than the meaning of life is for God to know and for us to find out.

Our morality is based on keeping our species going. See how easy that is?
And if you ask why, it is like me asking why does God give us meaning?

And as far as Jesus goes, he most likely was not a historical figure but a dream of Paul who over a few decades turned into a real person....like Paul Bunyan did for some.

There is no contemporary evidence for his existence and there were many historians around between 1-40 AD. Josephus was the first to mention Jesus and that was 3 generations after the "fact."
He observed Christians who bought the story of Jesus and by then believed Jesus was a real person.

Your response indicates you have no interest in investigating the vast expanse of philosophy or science that exists beyond the confines of your chosen faith. By your own hand you place limitations in your expressions, your words and in your thoughts as you excel no further than mediocrity in these replies of yours. Mindlessly regurgitating unoriginal creationism at all who disagree does not make you a great thinker, an advocate of reason nor a promoter of truth. Rather, your loyal audience is doomed to mind numbing inanity as you simply dismiss or reject all who pass by for nothing more than an opportunity to preach opinion.
