Quebec wants recognition as a nation: poll

Quebec wants to be recognized as a nation. Great. For starters, you might start by paying your own
way. Paying back the endless annual subsidies you've received from Canada would be a great way of showing your sincerity. Nothing says nation state like standing on your own feet and paying your own way. Once you do, we'll recognize you as a nation. Until then --

You say you want to be a nation
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it's evolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
But when you talk about a subs-i-dy
Don't you know you shouldn't count on me
Don't you know it's gonna be all right
all right, all right

You say you got a real solution
Well, you know
We'd all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
Well, you know
You should be doin' what you can
But when you want money
and independent state
All I can tell is you'll have to wait
Don't you know it's gonna be all right
all right, all right
Ah

ah, ah, ah, ah, ah...

You say you'll change the constitution
Well, you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it's the institution
Well, you know
You better pay your way instead
But if you go carrying pictures of R. Leveque
You ain't going to make it with those outside Quebec
Don't you know it's gonna be all right
all right, all right
all right, all right, all right
all right, all right, all right

Well if it will make you happy, you're a nation.

Would you like a unicorn with that request.

If it will make you feel better about yourself, we'll see if we can get you one.

Another socialist failure in progress. A socialist failure that is being financed by capitalist Canada. Quebec is a large sucking sound, and that said by someone that was born in Quebec.

A nation like Greece, held up by other people.

Looking at the riding by riding map of the last referendum, it was quite clear to me that the only places where electoral "sucess" was achieved by the separatists was within the historic boundaries of "New France".

So let that be their nation, where a supermajority (60%) of the electorate voted to separate from Canada, and we retain the rest. I would even be willing to subsidize an air bridge to Anglophone Montreal as a visible symbol of the Capitalist West in the heart of a Socialist dictatorship (and given the BQ and PQ are National Socialist parties in the correctly political sense, that is what the "nation" will rapidly descend to), just to rub their noses into the mess they have inflicted on themselves.
