A Man Who Firebombs A House Has Nothing To Complain About If He Is Shot

A guy wakes up to find his house being firebombed by three masked intruders. He pulls his Smith & Wesson from the safe, loads a few bullets, and fires off a few warning rounds.

For this, he is arrested by the police and faces jail time.

Look, I'm just as in favour of protecting the rights of mask-wearing, property-intruding firebombers as the next right-thinking leftist-drenched Canadian, but, call me crazy, a guy who firebombs your house wearing a mask and suddenly finds he has a hole or two in his body has nothing to complain about.

Careless use of a firearm? The only possible grounds are that he missed.

And that's the way the Ball bounces.

That will teach the vigilante scum to aim true and shoot shovel and shutup.

Alex -- I have no idea what you just said. Maybe I was intemperate in my speech and you are reacting against that?

obviously you are advocating violence.

Nah I jest on both comments. The joke highlights the truth which is that if the law prosecutes the good and just then its good to be against the law. I'm not saying start shooting, I'm saying this kind of law enforcement encourages justice by other means.

"Shoot, shovel and shut up" is an phrase that originated in Alberta during the mad cow affair.

Any rancher that reported even a single possible case of mad cow disease faced the forced euthanizing of his entire herd by the Can. Food Insp. Agencey.

Klien siad that farmers, upon seeing a possible case of mad cow in their herd should shoot the amimal, and quietly bury it.

Ie: "Shoot shovel, shut up."

Alex has the right idea. If someone decided to handle the matters of firebomb throwing hooligans in their own way, I really don't have a problem with it.

It's pretty obvious that the courts are hopeless.

OK, I get it now. It was shoot, shovel, and shut up. I thought it was "shoot shovel" and shutup!
