Most Delicious Steak Ever

At 7 pm. September 23, 2010 I had the best, most delicious steak I have ever eaten at the B*A*N*K Restaurant, Minneapolis.

It was a generous rib-eye, medium.

It came with macaroni.

Cows, beware.

And that's the way the beef-eating Ball bounces.

Well it wasn't the best steak ever unless it was Alberta Beef!!!!

Best meal I ever had was a steak right off the farm. The farmer killed the animal in its Alberta feedlot, quartered the carcass, hung it for 21 days then cut the steaks. It fried the way I like it and was served with fresh raw potatoes and fresh raw peas. The veggies were really fresh. The farmer's wife brought them out of the garden just before they were served.

If you're ever in Calgary go to Joey Tomatoes and get the Peppercorn New York steak. Simply amazing.

"go to Joey Tomatoes"

Thanks for the tip.

I once ate a peppercorn steak where I gobbled up all the peppercorns on the plate. My stomach did not appreciate this. I'm still in recovery.

There is a truck stop a few hours North East of Calgary where the cowboys go for supper after a day's work on the range. Dusty old Stetsons, bandannas, western style shirts, blue jeans with big buckle belts, boots and spurs are the usual dress and of course there is real Alberta beef is on the plate. What's more the chef knows how to cook it. Or Else! LOL

Joe -- thanks for your cowboy post -- I enjoyed it a lot. I've got a pair of Nocona boots and a decent hat. I like to express my inner cowboy every chance I get.
