Modern-Day Bible Scholars -- A Short-List From the Boston Bible Geeks

The boys over at Boston Bible Geeks ("A Cornucopia of Christian Geekery") have been busy making lists.

I've met Craig Keener -- an awesome servant of the church. These research guys -- they are just phenomenal in their intake and output. I can only marvel.

And I LOVE "Richard Bauckham's Jesus and the Eyewitnesses: The Gospels As Eyewitness Testimony". The BBG Boys characterize it as quasi-ground-breaking. I would call it a paradigm realignment. Like when your back is "out", and you need to pop it back into the right groove.

With one whack he refutes about 20 years of unwarranted scholarly assumption and probably 100 books and countless dissertations.

Worth reading.

And that's the way the New-England-bound Ball bounces.
