Quote of the Day: the “Flying Spaghetti Monster”

"In any event, the materialist who characterizes the soul in terms of “ectoplasm” is like the atheist who compares the God of classical theism to the “Flying Spaghetti Monster” or thinks that the cosmological argument starts with the premise that “Everything has a cause…” Not to put too fine a point on it, neither one knows what... he is talking about or has any business opening his mouth on the subjects in question."

Edward Feser, philosopher and author.  His blog is here.  I admire philosophers, they "go deep".

Along a similar theme, should the argument be made that one RK Ball should not opine on the subject of Evolutionary Biology?

...or dignity, since he cannot define it?

Not only do they not know what they are talking about, but neither do you or me or anyone else. We are all free to think and say whatever we want, you included.

"... nothing intellectually compelling or challenging.. bald assertions coupled to superstition... woefully pathetic"
