"Carbon Farming": Kill A Camel, Save The Planet (AND Get Carbon Credits!!!)

The camel culling plan is one of the first to arise under the Australian government’s new “carbon farming initiative”, a scheme that lets farmers or investors claim carbon credits if they can show they have cut greenhouse gas emissions....
More than 1m camels are now believed to be roaming across the Australian outback – one of the biggest camel populations in the world – and each emits methane, a greenhouse gas significantly more potent than carbon dioxide....
Apart from their methane emissions, camels are also menacing remote Aboriginal populations, he said.
“If everyone knew what they were doing, people would be more concerned,” said Dr Moore, “especially when they start coming into town and kicking down your toilet.”
If there's anything I hate it's coming home to find a camel kicking down my toilet, so, yes, the Ball Bounces approves.

Here's a real green tourism opportunity. Fly to Australia, head to the outback, kill sufficient camels to offset your carbon emissions, and, then, hey!, crank up the Barbie -- it's camel steak time!

It's win-win!!

(Unless, of course, you're the camel.)

Please join me as we sing, to the tune of "Where Have All The Flowers Gone?":

Where have all the camels gone, long time passing?
Where have all the camels gone, long time ago?
Where have all the camels gone?
Gone for credits everyone.
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?

And that's the way the one-lump-or-two? Ball bounces.

There's a huge opportunity here for British Columbians. You see BC schools and hospitals have to buy carbon offsets to make themselves "carbon neutral". The government won't give them cash to actually reduce their pollution output from old oil boilers and the like but instead forces them to buy carbon credits.

Here's the plan to make money on this scheme. What you do is apply for a carbon credit project with the Pacific Carbon Trust (a BC crown corp). The plan will be to cull cull the camels in Australia. You sell the culling as a hunting trip and get the government subsidy. It's the perfect plan what could go wrong?

Nothing! Sign me up! I've got $3.25 in Canadian Tire money from Frances that I would like to divert from the Postal workers' top-up-their-pension plan to invest in your scheme!
