Food Stamps: Because A Million Dollars Isn't What It Used To be

Used to be you made or won a million dollars and you were considered rich. Not anymore.

A US man is still on taxpayer-funded food stamps after winning two million dollars in a lottery.

Mean-spirited Republican Senator Rick Jones, R-Grand Ledge retorted, "What a waste of taxpayer money." Did I mention he's mean-spirited? And a Republican?

The winner reported his windfall to state DHS officials. They told him he could keep using the Bridge Card issued to him to buy groceries, as long as his gross income stayed below a certain level -- lottery winnings aren't considered in this calculation.

Money quote: "If you're going to try to make me feel bad, you're not going to do it,".

The USA: on its way to broke, one entitled American at a time.

Doesn't he have to pay taxes on this money?

Yes, he claims he paid 1/2 in taxes, leaving him with a mere million Obamabucks.
